Sometimes I think about my life and the things i’ve been through, I had a struggle but i’ve improved on my life and I’m ready for anything that comes at me. Hi my name’s Sophia born and raised in Louisiana. My mom died when i was four and my father is a drug addict and is serving his time in prison. With no parents around I started feeling lonely. I felt depressed and that my life was going nowhere. Well I was wrong.
...swoosh...swoosh. You know falling asleep on the subway isn’t easy.
“Next stop Columbus Avenue.” Thank god I’m going to go meet up with my good old friend Scarlet.
“Hey Sophia”,Scarlet said as she waived her hand in the air.
“OH MY GOD! Scarlet is that you? I missed you.”
“I missed you too Sophia, come on lets go get something to eat, my treat.”
So there we were sitting in Cafe con Leche, Scarlet looked like she wanted to tell me something... and she did.
“So what’s up with you, hows the boyfriend?”
“Well me and Ryan aren’t exactly boyfriend and girlfriend anymore, I’m kind of going to marry him.”
“WHAT...oh my god, congratulations.”
“ Thanks, so are you okay?”
“ What do you mean?”
“ Well i don’t know, are you feeling lonely?” Sophia tell me the truth.”
“ Who me no please I’m fine.”
“ Okay Sophia whatever you say.”
I feel weird sometimes when I don’t tell Scarlet the truth, but I can’t tell her that I feel lonely because if i did she would make a big deal out of it.
“ Well Scarlet thank you for taking me out for lunch I really appreciate it.”
“ No problem I’ll see you soon.”
“ Okay bye.”
Okay now i have to go to dance practice, at least there I could get my mind off of what Scarlet had said about relationships. So all I really did at dance was ballet and relax. Well as I was coming down the stairs, of course i wasn’t looking but then like melted butter on toast he caught me.
“ Hi, gee thanks for catching me, I really appreciate it.”
“ No problem, you know your really cute.”
“ Thanks, well I better get going, and what’s your name?”
“ Thats for you to find out.”
So there I was just standing there with this confused look on my face. I mean who does that, why couldn’t this guy tell me his name, I mean i would’ve told him mine, but of course I’m the one thats bad with boys and relationships. So I call Scarlet up to meet me at the cafe.
“ What’s wrong with you Sophia why did you call me at ten o’ clock at night to meet you.”
“ I met a guy.”
“ Really? What’s his name?”
“ Well I don’t know.”
“ How come?”
“ He didn’t tell me.”
“ What kind of guy doesn’t tell you his name?”
“ Well I guess a guy that doesn’t want me to know his name, maybe he’s a bad person.”
“ You know now that we’re here I gotta tell you something Sophia.”
“ Yeah sure anything, what’s wrong?”
“ Do you know how I want to be an author?”
“ Yep.”
“ Well I wrote a book and got it published and it’s going to be in the stores tomorrow.”
“ Thats great Scarlet, what’s the book about?”
“ Well don’t get mad but the books about you and the bad relationships you’ve faced.”
“ WHAT!”
